The Red Magic Campaign - Balanor - 04-22-2014
Greetings all Thayan adventurers. The time has already arrived for a new campaign to begin that details an important event in Thay’s history. The eight zulkirs of Thay have always struggled to rule Thay alone, and now one has his plans nearly complete, and already in motion, to make that dream a reality. Will you will seek to hinder or help that goal (willingly, or unwillingly)? In the words of a great man: You decide your own level of involvement!
I will be running several regular events related to this campaign, and other DMs may post either event times or a series of event times in this thread as well, along with any details about the type of characters to whom they will be targeted.
The series of events that I have planned will run on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM CDT for around 2-3 hours. The first event will be held starting tomorrow evening, April 23. I anticipate these related events will run for approximately 4-6 weeks (maybe longer, depending on how things progress in-game). Mine will be open events. Also, in some cases (primarily combat-oriented events), if there is a large group, or if characters fall far outside the average level range of other characters, some may be relegated to a support role or be told ICly that they are not needed/wanted.

The slave master of Amruthar is in dire need of gnoll slaves and will pay top coin for any worthy stock brought to him. Futhermore, he will spread word of your deed far and wide across all of thay so that all will know what a good thayan citizen you are. Take advantage of this rare opportunity and make a name for yourself!

Following the jousting tournament this saturday(May 3rd 7:00 PM CST), any gnoll slave brought to the slave master in Amruthar will result in the PC being awarded twice the amount of gold and experience he would normally receive. This will continue until the DM gets tired.
Do not turn in any gnoll slaves until after the jousting tournament, otherwise you will not get your double reward.

For anyone interested in joining tonight's event at 7:00 PM CDT, meet at the Red Lord's Respite in Thralgard Keep. Please RP it that your character received a raven from someone called 'Jutta' stating that you are needed to augment a force of High Thay legionnaires in an area vital to Thay.

This friday the 23rd starting at about 8:00 PM CST there will be some open ended Red Magic campaign events ran. There will be no set meeting place for these events, just be on playing your characters and adventure will come and find you!
There might be some more events ran the following day on the 24th around noon CST. I will post more when I know my availability for that day fully.

Just to give everyone a heads-up; the regular Wednesday evening events I've been leading have come to an end. Tonight we should have a DM or two on a little later to run an event(s) related to this campaign. But I want to make clear that this campaign is not over (it has just begun!) as DMs will be running events for it and may continue to post advance notice of those events here.

Zulkir Maligor is looking for brave slavers to help him in acquiring even more gnoll slaves to defend his tower. This will be a dangrous culling of gnolls but well worth the reward for those interested. Anyone up to the task is asked to gather at the Amruthar Slave Merchant.
This scheduled event will occur on Friday June 6th at 8:00PM CST and is open for any interested.

Those sympathetic to nature have begun to feel a great sorrow fall upon the wild animals of the land! Some have already been asked to look into the cause behind this sadness. Those who are interested in defending nature's plight receive a letter to appear at the Shrine to Silvanus outside Caramiriel's House in northern Tyraturos.
This scheduled event will occur on Saturday June 7th at 12:00PM(noon) CST and is open to any nature lovers interested.

This is an open ended Red Magic Campaign set for this Saturday July 5th at 10:00 AM CST to 3:00 PM CST and will move forward some of the various plotlines that have been started for certain PCs that have been affected by this campaign thus far. Log on with your PC and adventure will find you!
