I have heard rumors of problems related to the hak version, but I never experienced any clipping issues with the override package. Sometimes the foliage in wilderness areas can get quite dense but thats all.

I thought I would add these here, as this is something that I recently discovered here.

This allows players to use tileset replacement haks (done by Zwerkules) as patches. What this does is load the content from the hak, but does NOT clog up the players override folder. There are instructions on how to use at the link.

I am using these, and it is amazing what it does for the look of the affected tilesets, especially Rural, Forest, and City Interior. There is even one for placeables, and that is a big improvement.

Remember, even though the files are haks, they need to go into your patch folder. The huge benefit is that you can quite easily check content to see if you like it, but do not have to root through (possibly) thousands of files in an override folder to remove a certain "enhancement".

I currently am using rural, forest, city, and placeables, and it is amazing what it does for the look and feel of the game. I've also added things like Reforged weapons, a reskin of the Bioware heads, Red Bars and Loading screens...anything that can packaged into a hak, that overrides Bioware custom content, can be added as a patch. If folks want, when I get home I can post up my nwpatch file so you can see what that looks like.

Now, the caveat...this cannot be used along with other overrides, so if yuo use NWNCQ, you will have to make a choice. To test, simply rename your override folder ("override1" will work :) ), then test the patches. Don't like them? remove the patch file and all is well. :D That's the ease of it.

Enjoy! :D
