RE: Religious conversations (Possible bug?) - Jechal - 11-08-2009 but will he be able to cast spells as a ranger if he does?... RE: Religious conversations (Possible bug?) - Bishop Edward - 11-08-2009 He should be able to, yes. RE: Religious conversations (Possible bug?) - Balanor - 11-08-2009 According to what RedKnight found, it sounds as though Rangers can choose whatever deity they like, however they are typically nature-based. http://thaypw.7th-sphere.net/showthread.php?tid=403 (11-06-2009, 12:32 PM)theredknight_x Wrote: According to the 3.0 Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting pg. 24 I'd say rangers of certain deities would be good candidates for DM harrassement though unless they have a good backstory. I'd have a very tough time believing there are any rangers of Sharess or Lliira for example - not impossible, but the PC in question should have a pretty good reason as to why they picked that god. RE: Religious conversations (Possible bug?) - Bishop Edward - 11-08-2009 True... but one of the more interesting aspects of rangers is their favored enemy, not necessarily their nature spells, for instance: a favored-enemy undead hunter-ranger of kelemvor, (after kelemvor ascends of course), all very natural-based (as undeath is against the "nature of things") but more focused on natural death as opposed to natural life... RE: Religious conversations (Possible bug?) - Jechal - 11-08-2009 true, good point i can visually see a ranger rogue of mask.. kinda like a dedicated assassin that hones in on a specific race and is a very good tracker. RE: Religious conversations (Possible bug?) - Bishop Edward - 11-08-2009 oh definently, favored enemy: human! Especially when the ranger in question -is- human... |
