I'd like to get a container outside of Brandon's manor. It is the one catty corner to the Tharchioness' Palace in Eltabbar.

As of early this morning, the following are now in place in-game:

1. If you choose to redesign the interior of your building, that process is now free until January 9, 2016. Screenshots and the in-game description of all available building floorplans can be viewed here on the Thay PW's OneNote under the Building Floorplans section. Remember though that remodeling a building will cause interior door improvements to be lost

2. Those who provided me the exact spelling of their character’s name have unlimited vault storage until January 9. I'd recommend not pressing your luck though and capping your vault storage at ~20 pages otherwise you may lose items in the storage process

3. Those who provided me with the location of their building entrance will have a Vault chest outside their door until January 9

So while you do not need to empty out your building right away today, you will want to do so sometime soon. With the holidays I am not going to be around much over the next 10 days, and I imagine some of you may not as well, which is why everyone is getting more than a week to clear out their building of furniture and remodel it (if you choose) before January 2 at 12:00 PM Central time.

Apparently 'unlimited' storage is limited. Not sure why. But if you run out of room in vault storage, store stuff in a pack slave or horse saddlebags as they also are affected by the change and you should be able to get as much in them as you are in your Vault chest.

As a special request Thayan, is it possible to get Assassins turned off during this Housing interim? It's a bear when you are hyper focused on picking up and writing down all items and their coordinates and an attack happens, not to mention heavily encumbered whilst schlepping stuff to and from to your storage outdoors. The same will be true when we try to put it all back; focused on getting our houses set back up, and no interruptions would be nice. :)

If not, I understand.

I was wondering if I need to worry about clearing out Zaryl's shop and removing her merchant from inside her building for this update.

RE: Player Housing and Server Crashes - Miscr3ant - 12-28-2015

I would guess so, but that is not a definitive answer. :P

RE: Player Housing and Server Crashes - Balanor - 12-29-2015

I'll turn off assassins over the coming weekend, but that will be it.

You don't need to remove your merchant, or its inventory, in your building unless you are planning to redesign it. Merchants have their own database files separate from the furniture database files that are being deleted.

Be careful. The horses and slaves have a weight limit. What I did was put the smallest items in my horse packs.

RE: Player Housing and Server Crashes - Miscr3ant - 12-29-2015

What I did was load the horse, getting the "can't carry your tub of lard" message. :P So, your horse won't pick his bag up. No problems; simply dismiss the horse, leaving the bag on the ground, then log.

Problem solved.

Same fix for the slave, really

Not one hundred percent positive but a server reset may wipe those saddle bags and slaves packs.
