He knows the likelihood of this ever coming to fruition is slim, but the opportunity is too good to deny.

When he last saw Maurin, there was anger, there was frustration, but most importantly, there was a prime soil to plant his seeds of influence. The Dreadmaster was feared, powerful, he was an asset too long ignored. He had hoped his letter, would trigger the deeply rooted need for power within him.

Perhaps this will come to nothing, for all he knew Maurin was no longer casting his massive shadow on the land. But at least Kaisers master would know, he was not forgetting his task.

The Necromancer was patient, he will wait as long as he must to succeed. But he was still mortal, and he knows his time is not infinite, at least, for now.

RE: News for "The" Master - Payne - 06-29-2012

Even before the moment Uzan disappeared, nothing really quite added up.

Kaiser led the force into the caverns below Eltabbar as was his duty, and what was expected of him, but the entire way nothing made sense. First Uzan being almost waiting for them, expecting the trial. Why would he have been here instead of his Den? The Death Knight disappearing, inside the Hall outside Magic working to transport Uzan, and then Illusions, especially them. Kaiser did not believe for a moment that Uzan had such power. Had he been that powerful, Kaiser knew Uzan would have done more with it.

So the entire trip, during the battles, he brooded. Even as they stood over Uzans corpse, he made half hearted attempts for the others to say goodbye before removing the head. This was just....not right.

They returned with the body, on more normal situations Kaiser would have made more of a point, said the Glory of the One True Zulkir, the Glory of Thay. Instead he was there to just end this farce and learn more.

Judge of the Redhall: [Talk] *looks at the head* it shall be a reminder for those who seek to impersonate us
Maurin Greyhand: [Talk] *Dumps the headless carcass by the wall*
Judge of the Redhall: [Talk] you have my thanks, Red Wizards
Kaiser Signe: [Talk] *bows his head* It had to be done
Kaiser Signe: [Talk] Until next time
Judge of the Redhall: [Talk] *nods*

As if to prove his assumptions, he found the head was gone...

Maybe the Drow and the Elf took it, but he highly doubted it was them. The Drow didn't even seem fazed Uzan was dead. Kaiser ensured he tested her, to say words, do something. But no, she did nothing, nor did the elf. It was as if something was scripted, and he was not entrusted the copy the others were following.

He did write a report to his Master, a long winded account of the arrest, the trial, the hunt and the final end. But as he stood before the massive mansion, the loose ends unraveled more in his head. In his head was a keystone he had yet to put in place to support his thoughts.

He looked down to his report, then his eyes flicked to the silhouette on the water. Framed by moonlight, was the Palace. The Tharchioness that supposedly supported Uzan. The Tharchioness who worked directly for his Master. The Tharchioness who was supposedly a master of....

His gaze rested on the Tam Estate for a very long, long time. Wrong or right, the Keystone was firmly wedged in place, so firm was this conclusion it was as if a stone mason crawled into his mind and did it himself.

Walking away, he slipped the report into the folds of his robe and started to laugh aloud as he and his knight returned to his tower.
