I can't think of any instances where I've ever heard of Zen Archery not working. Why does your friend ask?
Why wouldn't it work? I haven't used it on Thay, but I've never heard of it not working anywhere. That's why I ask.

I see no footnote there about it not working, and the wiki is pretty reliable for those kinds of things.

I think maybe the confusion comes from the fact that it uses wisdom only if it's higher than dex, and people expect it to add wisdom+dex to the roll.

I played plenty of characters strongly using this feat and it does work as expected.
