On Vacation - Balanor - 11-17-2013
I want to let everyone know I will be taking a vacation starting November 20, and I will not return until December 7. This vacation will take me out of the country so I will have extremely limited access to the internet and no access to the server. I will not be responding to any threads or PMs until, at the very earliest, December 8.
While I fervently hope that the server’s router does not lock up or power does not get cut causing the physical machine that the server is on to restart while I am gone, if either happens it is a possible the server could end up going down for an extended period of time until I return on December 7. That would be a worst case scenario, which hopefully will not happen though.
During this time while I am gone, if you have a major or immediate problem that needs to be addressed, I'd advise you to just reach out to the first DM you think of.

I have returned, but I want to thank the DMs who have provided and continue to provide plenty of opporunities for short events and longer campaigns while I was away. Great job Karilynn, Pleiade, Betram, and Edin. Thanks!

My and Priestess Heidi's 5 year anniversary is coming up next week. To celebrate, we are taking a ~10 day trip in which we'll be out-of-state. We'll be gone starting the afternoon of August 31, and we won't be back until the evening of Sept 10. I won't be as unavailable as I was during our previous trip, and will be able to occasionally check the forums and PMs on a semi-regular basis (so long as Heidi doesn't catch me doing it). But if power outages or major ISP problems arise during that time, the server could again go down for an extended period, which seems to be a given whenever I'm away from home, and the tools I have to administer the server, for more than a couple days.
So if everyone keeps your fingers crossed, maybe the server will stay up and available the entire time during this vacation.
