Enchantment forge question - Hellstrom - 04-20-2015 This might be obvious, but I have a tower shield with 90% weight reduction on it. I'd like to add AC to it with the enchantment forge. But if I add +1 now and want to make it +2 later, will I be able to upgrade the enchantment or will I need to remove the +1 and add +2? Will removing the +1 AC from it also remove the weight reduction? RE: Enchantment forge question - Animayhem - 04-20-2015 I usually like to wait until I can afford to do the +2 at once. It should not remove it as you are not adjusting the weight reduction. RE: Enchantment forge question - Bela - 04-20-2015 If you don't add extra enhancements on it...ie...keep it to the weight reduction and +1....when the time comes you can just place +2 onto it without removing the the +1 first. If an item has 3 enhancements, then one has to be removed before an upgrade can be done. You are given a choice of which properties you wish to remove, so you just pick the one you want to remove, the rest will stay on the shield. A tip....please make sure you read all the forge tells you...it could stop you making something you won't be able to use until a few levels later. RE: Enchantment forge question - Bela - 04-20-2015 Good point Sundraoi....I forgot that :) RE: Enchantment forge question - Hellstrom - 04-20-2015 (04-20-2015, 04:29 PM)Beladra Marias Wrote: If you don't add extra enhancements on it...ie...keep it to the weight reduction and +1....when the time comes you can just place +2 onto it without removing the the +1 first.Oh... so I really wouldn't be upgrading, I'd just be adding a 3rd enchant that would cause the +1 to be ignored? Good to know. I've done that once already and learned my lesson :) It was with my weapon master's main weapon too Luckily I only had to get another 2k xp to use it again. RE: Enchantment forge question - Bertram Anders - 04-20-2015 If you only have the weight reduction, you can add the +1. When it comes time to upgrade the +2 will replace the +1. If you have weight reduction, +1, and SR. You would have to remove one of the 3 to upgrade it to +2. That is why if possible always leave the third slot open, less chance of mistakes :) RE: Enchantment forge question - Balanor - 04-20-2015 This offer still stands if anyone with the time and desire would like to see this changed. |
