It's Been Almost an Entire Week... - Wids - 06-13-2015 ...and not one mention of the passing of this exarch among men, eh? :( Some interesting facts about his life. Scaramanga and James Bond having some cat-and-mouse fun. Saruman and Elrond laying the smack down on the Ringwraiths. Darth Tyranus holds his own. He also did several films with Johnny Depp and thought very highly of Depp's acting talents. The role which put him on the map. And let us not forget his tremendous singing voice. ...or his voice in pretty much anything. Proof that you're never too old to be a metalhead. One ring to rule them all... Farewell and godspeed, Sir Christopher Lee. There will never be another like you. :( RE: It's Been Almost an Entire Week... - Animayhem - 06-13-2015 (06-13-2015, 02:04 AM)Wids Wrote: ...and not one mention of the passing of this exarch among men, eh? :( Yes slowly but surely the great ones are leaving. RE: It's Been Almost an Entire Week... - DarkRanger - 06-13-2015 Wow, didn't realize he was a fan of LOTR, knew about his WW2 career but didn't realize his unit had such an epic name, anyway here's another video of his amazing voice reading a classic www. youtube.com/watch?v=BefliMlEzZ8 RE: It's Been Almost an Entire Week... - Wids - 06-13-2015 Christopher Lee actually met J.R.R. Tolkien and came to know him personally during Tolkien's lifetime. That's why Lee was often consulted by Peter Jackson and the crew during the Hobbit and LotR movies: Because Lee was not only very familiar with the stories but with the creative mind behind them as well, so he had a certain perspective about the Middle Earth universe and its peoples that most people who had merely read Tolkien's works might not grasp. |
