A Forge Question - Miscr3ant - 09-26-2015

If I had a sword of EB +1, but also EB vs Something +3, and I wanted to put it in the forge to remove the +1, would it also strip the +3 vs something that I wanted to keep?

No, I don't want to test and find out. :P

RE: A Forge Question - Sundraoi - 09-26-2015

When you remove things at the forge it will remove ALL bonuses of the type you wish removed. If there are two EB bonuses, both will be removed....two or more skill bonuses, all skill bonuses will be removed. We can't pick and choose which one if there are multiple bonuses of a specific type.

Copy...and understood. Thanks! :D

I was just curious cause one was plain EB, and one was EB vs something, which you can't put on at a forge, so I wa wondering if you could take it off, or if it would remain.

RE: A Forge Question - Animayhem - 09-27-2015

The specifics I believe stay like +3 against evil

Well, what the heck...time to test

RE: A Forge Question - Balanor - 09-28-2015

You can download the Omega Forge and test offline. In looking at the code though, the dmRemoveProperty function which handles the removal of enhancement bonuses does not differentiate between standard EB and EB vs XXXX. So I'm fairly certain it will remove all EBs on the weapon.

Update on this, more of an FYI.

The removal of the EB at the forge doesnt seem to affect the EB bonus set against certain types of creatures, that EB bonus remains.

An example:

A mace with +1 EB and +4EB vs undead only removed the +1 EB.

This was tested by Miscreant yesterday.
