My constant crashing issue - Crimsonchamp - 09-28-2015

I'm pretty sure this is more something going on with my files rather then Thay itself, but I was hoping to see if someone had similar issues before and managed to fix them.

I seem to crash as new npcs and pcs appear into areas. This happens less with monsters, as I almost never crash in the forest grove or in crypts, but is a constant problem wherever npcs normally spawn. So much so that I might sometimes be stuck in the same area and crash three times before I manage to get out before that particular npc crashes me again. I can't quite tell which one is doing it either, if its a specific peice of equipment that's bugged in my install or what...

This has pretty much led me to being mostly unable to do slavery, because slaves leave if you disconnect. Probably even more detrimental to note then to not do it at all.

I've tried taking off all my overrides, but that didn't seem to fix anything.

Have you updated any drivers or something similar on your PC lately? I'll also point you to this thread.

What I've noticed with playing with crimson in game is he doesn't crash in the middle of adventures in hostile areas but in city areas and civilized areas you crash many many times.

AH, thanks for pointing that out. Seems like the cpu affinity may have been the cause, changing that seems to have stopped most crashes.
