Molvar Senroth - Aicasarto - 10-06-2021 The wizard named Molvar Senroth is clearly a man of Mulani descent. He has an angular face with sharp features that seem composed into a permanent state of aloofness, with his scalp completely hairless in traditional Thayan fashion and tattooed with a design of a leaping flame; his eyes are dark-colored but distant and cold, and whereas one would smile, he smirks instead. Things such as a true smile or a laugh are rare from him, but at the same time it is not unlikely that he might have some explosive burst of temper or emotion rushing out of him, though this does not seem to bother him despite his tendency to be reserved. When he is truly angry, he will rage in Infernal, which he speaks as fluently as he does Common. Molvar speaks with a somewhat clipped, though elegant vocabulary, and he does not mind turning to either sarcasm, backhanded compliments, or insults when he feels like it. He is clearly convinced of his own superiority (and the superiority of the Mulan people) over most other people unless they prove themselves capable and worthy, but even despite this most interactions he has with others are often polite, at the very least. Following this thread, he also a true Thayan patriot, and sees the Red Wizards as the pinnacle one can achieve to be. He clearly likes the fancier things in life and does not understand why anyone would settle for less. He dislikes going to places where such things are not available, but if something is in it for him he is more than willing to put up with it. Since he was born and raised in Eltabbar, he dislikes the sea, much more preferring to be around fresh water than the restless and dark depths of Umberlee’s domain, if he can help it. He is also allergic to cats, which is why the cat he does have is hairless. RE: Molvar Senroth - Aicasarto - 10-25-2021 He had not been expecting to find much down here. After all, musty old catacombs were not known for their hidden riches waiting to be rediscovered by those with low enough standards to go plundering about in them. They were known rather for their various denizens, bugbears, spiders, kobolds, and oozes. Molvar would have never found himself in such a place if he did not direly need to track down several dozen of the latter in search for their ichors, silently cursing the man who sent him on such a task. What did he need such an absurd amount of them for, to bathe himself in? Never mind that, he didn’t care. All he cared for was the potential reward promised, something powerful in nature. He held his robes out of the way as he brushed past the now-stilled…bodies? Oozes had mass, so he supposed that bodies was an appropriate term. Going to one of the last ones that he had not checked yet, Molvar only thought about how grateful he was that his gloves were thick before burying his hand into the slippery, slimy mass to find what he was looking for through touch. While he dug meticulously through the ooze, he could hear the clicking of Barug’s claws against the stone as he paced. Then there was a pause, and a sense of danger as the hellhound’s sharper eyes and ears were alerted to something the wizard had not noticed yet. Take care of it, he commanded without bothering to look up from his task. Aha, a piece that was firmer in texture than the rest of the mass, there it was… As he extricated the prize, he heard a fierce bark, something squealing loudly and yipping in return, and by the time he packaged away the ichor and turned he could see that the intruder was well taken care of. A kobold, its body small enough to fit into the hound’s mouth, was dangling limply from Barug’s jaws while he easily shook it back and forth like a rat. After contenting himself with the fact that it was, in fact, very dead, the familiar trotted happily over to his master and dropped kobold’s body at his feet. “Thank you,” Molvar said, his voice dry as he knelt down again to dig through the kobold’s pockets. They usually had a few scraps of gold, and this one had a satchel as well… What Molvar saw inside was not what he expected. A pink glow immediately spilled out of the bag, and one of his brows arched in surprise. Whatever it was, it was valuable, so he pulled off one of his slime-covered gloves before reaching in to pick it up. A silver circlet was revealed to his eyes, set with a rose-pink stone that glimmered with a shimmering light that glowed even in the dim gloom of the catacombs. Ah, a pretty trinket then. He had to chuckle. Molvar far preferred more gold tones to his attire, but for Sorsha…a more perfect gift could not have so fortuitously fallen into his hands! It called her face to his mind, crowned with such a beautiful jewelry brought to her by his hands, causing the smirk of his face to grow wider by the second. He quickly slipped it into his pack, far away from the bag containing the ichors. At least there was some silver lining to the unpleasant work he was doing now, and once he got the circlet properly cleaned up (who knew where the kobold had been) and polished, he would present it to her immediately. |
