Summon creature/deity question - DarkRanger - 07-06-2011 Is it possible to fix the higher level summon spells based on deity, so Kossuth clerics would always get a fire elemental, Umberlee water, etc? RE: Summon creature/deity question - Balanor - 07-13-2011 This is possible, and may not be too much additional work. I won't guarantee anything at this point, but if someone wants to move this along, I'd like a list posted here (by someone other than me) of all the proposed deities that this would apply to and what type of elemental they get for their elemental summons, as well as any discussions as to whether having more than just the four elemental-based gods on that list are appropriate. RE: Summon creature/deity question - EdinSumar - 07-13-2011 I know that on some servers they do it alignment based, for example: A Good Aligned Wizard would always summon good-aligned extraplanars, such as Lantern Archons and Divine Avengers, strength according to level. An Evil Aligned Wizard would likewise summon evil-aligned extraplanars, neutral would summon according to Law/Chaos axis (Formians/Slaads respectively). And then more specific stuff for some of the deities, such as Fire Elementals for Kossuth and such. RE: Summon creature/deity question - DarkRanger - 07-13-2011 Off the top of my head I could see Shar summoning shadows and Malar/druid deities continuing to summon more powerful animals. I couldn't name any other deities with elemental domains, but maybe it could be tied to domain instead of deity so it applies itself where appropriate without having to go through the list from A-Z? |
