Human Ethnic Languages Not so Ethnic?

I've noticed that unlike in PnP humans' ethnic languages (Illuskan, Calishite Alzhedo, Mulhorandi, etc.) are not treated like racial languages and granted for free, but require expenditure of the intelligence-bonus-granted language slot. So for humans it goes as such: common + intelligence modifier granted languages = total languages known. Where it should be: ethnic language/common + intelligence modifier granted languages = total languages known. Is there a particular reason for this?

I'm guessing it's because there's not a system in place for it. It's easy to read "elf" and offer the corresponding language. Thay doesn't even have a system for officially declaring regional languages, which would be required in order to make learning them automatic.

To be concise, we do not have the scripting in place to do that. When you make a character the game had no way of recognizing what ethnicity you are, therefore; the automatic languages can be assigned. When you make an elf, dwarf, etc. the game reads that you are that race and assigns languages accordingly.
Tempus' orders to all combatants:
1. Be fearless. 2. Never turn away from a fight. 3. Obey the rules of war.

Understood, and thanks for the quick reply! I do wonder if there's any plans to add this functionality in the future but comprehend it's probably far down on the list if so.

The likely-hood of that happening is low. To make this happen a lot of scripting would have to occur. Each ethnicity would have to be scripted in for this to happen. As it stands there as many things higher on the priority list.
