He had run into Alyisse in the Trident. She needed to talk to him. They both knew the risk of the Tribune's anger. Towards the end of their talk she burst into tears and laid on his shoulder. They had barely separated then in walked Shebali and a few minutes later Daeris. A few moments later he left and went to his home. About thirty minutes later Daeris knocked on his door. He was upset about what was discussed but also gravely concerned. They were not finished when the door was opened and Shealyn followed by the Tribune and Alyisse.
After a heated discussion, in what Marister felt was a cowardly act, without warning and his sword drawn the Tribune attacked Marister in Marister's house. Catching Marister and the others off guard. He did not draw his blades but defended with his hands and dodged as best he could. Finally greatly winded ,Marister fell to the floor. Alyisse was in a heap in a corner crying and shouting. The ring Marister wore had helped him heal quicker.
Marister stood straight and tall despite his injuries and listened to the Tribune rant and rave. The Tribune banned any contact with Alyisse, even letters for if they did the Tribune would hunt him down. He quickly turned and left with the others.
Daeris waited but also left to check on Alyisse.
Marister would naturally honor the quest but only because he cared for Alyisse and only in the Tribunes capacity as a lord. As for any other respect as a man, that was finally erased in Marister's mind. To him the Tribune was an over grown, dangerous child with fancy titles and a sword. A real man would of challenged him in the arena.
He kneeled and meditated at the shrine and then left and walked to the Druidess shrine.
