Backpacks

I know this has been mentioned in the past but is it possible to restore the ability for things to stay in the bags rather then coming out of the bags if you pass a full bag
to someone or die.

Yes I know returning from the fugue is better than being perma dead.
I am glad the xp penalty has been reduced.

I do not know, maybe the original idea behind that was that people would not hoard that much. The 150 item count on your pc is fine. Personally on both my characters I keep the basics. Fighting gear, merchant gear, quest items, healing supplies.

Although I do have back up gear in my horse's saddlebags and the vault chest.

Thursday myself and two others wound up in the fugue. The third accidentally
portaled elsewhere. Unfortunately a reset was happening so time to gather anything was shorter than normal. The contents of the pak of the third who was not there could not be fully salvaged. It can be frustrating having to search through several pages to make sure you get the important stuff first.

Had stuff stayed in the bags we could of been successful.

Yes I know in thay life happens battle happens and death happens. I do not think I am the only one who would like to see contents stay in bags.

I am moving this back to the main forum because with the death system rewrite I was finally able to get items back into containers when moved from the PC corpse copy to the PC's death pack when a PC returns from the Fugue and wants to gather their inventory. I only bring this topic back to light because I want to explain that, in short; containers suck when it comes to programmatically moving them from object-to-object in-game. And to finally address this took a complicated workaround, otherwise this would have gone into effect long ago.

In addition, the issue of containers being duplicated in a PC's death pack has been fixed as well so that will no longer happen.

Finally, I'd like to reiterate my stance that comments, concerns, suggestions for change, or feedback on the various systems of Thay like this should go directly to Sundraoi, rather than posted in the forums. Public debate did not fix this problem and very likely will not fix future issues someone may run in to. So if you truly want to see something changed or addressed, or you are upset with how something is implemented, take it to the staff who can actually make it occur.
