Defeated the Ravens, an all elf band of mercenaries and professional gladiators.

These are the names of the victorious. Winning the second of a seven match series. Right now, simply called the 'Thayan' team. These gladiator slaves battle weekly(monthly in game) for a chance for glory at the arena of Eltabbar, the great colloseum. Next Tuesday, Nov 13th at 9pm CST, the gladiators will once again do battle. This time they are all truly fighting for their lives.

This month, the gladiators paired off and faced each other in the ring which proved to have interesting results. In the first match;

Gen and Drog - Gen seems to be a favorite of the crowd and Drog is becoming known as a vicious warrior. This fight went to Drog who left his opponent alive.

Drax and Ilythia - A curiously unbalanced match, Drax stunned Ilythia early on and beat her severely, got her up a few times and made a big show of beating her some more. Drax is most certainly the crowds pick for most villanous gladiator.

Drog and Ragna Smash - Probably the best fight of the night. A very evenly matched battle that ended with Ragna hitting the stone floor. Drog scooped her up and claimed he was going to take her down to the pens and have his way with her. Drog is very much making a name for himself in the arena.

Same time next week 9pm CST the gladiators will once more do battle. What spectacle will there be this time? Show up and find out.

Amid all of the chaos in Thay, for some unknown reason Celebratory games were held in Eltabbar. A great race was held, from the Grand Gate to Redhall and back. The rules were simple, anything goes. Spectators were encouraged to take part, but warned not to slay gladiators, only to harass and hamper them. And they did. However several eager spectators clogged the bridge, ready and filled with bloodlust they planned to kill anyone that tried to cross. In the frenzy that ensued, they almost suceeded had the legion not stepped in to assist. Drax, was for some reason excluded from participating was set up at the steps of Redhall to thwart runners and verify they did indeed touch the stairs.

The race was very close, Zulkir Maurin was instrumental in halting many gladiators with non lethal spells and he nearly giggled with delight watching them fall. Ragna and Ilythia were the closest to winning, even with all the odds stacked against them. Ragna Smash, turned out the winner though by just a few steps.

The award to Ragna was freedom, relatively speaking of course. She wasn tossed out of Thay as her reward but still collared and branded as an escapee, should she get caught by slavers outside of the border it will be her doom.

A big thanks to karilynn who played Ragna, one of the most colorful gladiators and a crowd favorite. Thank you so much for participating!

A battle fought somewhere deep within the Citadel of Thay in an arena, surrounding the Black Pit of Death!

The first match was Zena facing Gen, before the battle even began, Zena fell to her death into the pit!

The second battle was Gen facing Samin, which actually turned into a fight with a mystified Samin falling on Gen's sword.

The third battle was Drax and Drog, which started a little slow due to the gladiators being disoriented when they came out. Drog dropped Drax but at the last second, Drax got up and stunned Drog, beating him nearly to a pulp but at the very last moment, Drogs sword went into Drax and it was over for the villan of the arena.

In the final battle, Gen facing a wounded Drog. Drog fell and Gen was declared champion of the arena! Then she was set free into the wilds and the whole crowd was notified that, if you can catch her, you can keep her. The mirrors and crystal balls went wild with use.

200xp to each player and spectator. Thank you all for participating. We might do something like this again sometime! Was a lot of fun to plan out and run.
