Monk vs. Monk

1) Not that I can think of off the top of my head...

2) I seriously doubt it but that would be awesome...

3) Unfortunately not an option.

4a) IMHO: Lycanthropes are children of Selune. Even the evil ones, Selune seeks to embrace as her children and give them a chance to turn to the light of Selune and repent their evil ways, etc...

4b) And either way, Malar is an ally of Lolth's, who is an enemy of Shar's as they are rivals for power over the underdark... (back when Lolth was an intermediate deity, Shar didn't mind so much, but now that Lolth is a greater deity, they are considered rivals) - also I found this interesting cross-reference:
"The She-Spider Cult, a Thayan-based sect that tried to link worship of Shar with devotion to Lolth. Opposed in the end by both goddesses, the Cult enjoyed initial success as a secret society operating slaving and drug running operations..."

5) That about covers it...
Currently Playing:

Galambos Thrune - Griffon Knight
Archibold Vanderdaghast - Palemaster
Anders Maerklos - Spellsword
Chessala Zolond - Yathrin d'Lolth

1) Seems accurate off the top of my head, I'll do a more thorough investigation later.

2) I don't believe so, sad day. Could maybe be an option to change the interior lighting (or fog lighting) when the key is used on the entrance in the future? :D

3) Nope. What you can do though is have the front door unlocked, but have the individual areas locked and require a key for those (can place a spawning undead or gargoyle to ward off noobs).

4) Depends on the Lycanthrope, I've actually had folks say they're children of Malar. Werebears/Werebats would be children of Selune for sure, but wererats, werecats, werewolves, and wereboars could be considered children of Shar/Malar (moreso wererats and werewolves).

5) Could use the outskirts area of Bezantur. No mansions there, but it has large homes out in the middle of nowhere, NPCs to feast on, plus there's the fence out there.

...which pretty much agrees with what Gatalis wrote (aside from the bit about Shar, who apparently doesn't do lycanthropes). On top of that, Sharess has laid claim to certain werecats, since she has that side gig as the Goddess of Cats and all that. But other than that, we don't know if Malar came up with them or if Selune did.

Either way, lycanthropes still don't jibe well with Shar. I might have to do some mental gymnastics to give them admittance, like "Come and we shall teach you to forsake the moon and embrace the moonless night" or whatnot. Werebears could behave themselves well enough to stay in a monastery, I suppose, but the rest might need some supervision. o_O

East Pyarados has a Manor within walking distance of the poorly patrolled East Gate, so that might be a good location as well. But it's the type of manor that looks like an inn, and I'd greatly prefer the "big, Gothic-looking stone block" type of manor which looks something like the Weeping Slave. I have time to pick and choose and compromise, though. No rush. :)

Perfect spot for yah.

Manor out in Murbant. Right next to the caravan/ships for easy travel when not in pesky forms and out away from (most) civilization. Not to mention it's the evil temple looking kind. :P

Yeah, it's all spikey and the architecture's kind of neat, and the location's nice (unless you're sneaking in by land, maybe). But it's pink. :P

One other consideration: You know how PC houses automatically eject anyone who logs off inside one? That could present a severe problem to PCs of certain undead races which inherently have some pretty nasty allergies to direct sunlight. So as an example, imagine if a player logs his vampire off inside the monastery about an hour before the Thayan sunrise, wanders off to eat dinner, comes back, decides that he/she wants some more vampire time, unwitting logs back in while it's high noon in Thay, and the player's computer has a slow loading time, so the vampire's just standing right outside the monastery door, burning away in the sunlight...it could get very ugly in a hurry.

Lycans who haven't yet mastered their curse would have a similar concern if they're staying at the monastery: They log off in the monastery, the monastery's in the middle of a crowded city, they log back on, they're back outside and it's past 6 PM, they booch the Will Save, they "wolf out" and start killing random townies, the guards and legionnaires start pelting them with flaming arrows or chopping at them with halberds...that could get ugly too.

The PC housing ejection should probably be an important concern too. So I wonder if there are any manors which are right next to any crypts, catacombs...maybe sewers or evil temples...anywhere where those lycans and undeadlings could log out and wait out the "bad" hours, perhaps. I'll look around. :-/

I can think of one or two manors. But I believed it's mentioned in one of the guides not to log off in a PC house as a vampire. Even if it is not, you know that it kicks you out, so just log off in an inn or crypt or somewhere similar.

That's what I said. And then as soon as the time of day is "safe," you can just walk a few yards to the monastery, go inside and say "Hey, guys, what did I miss?".

Someone might first have to invite the vampires inside, of course. It's standard policy or something. ;)

The manor in Murbant is relatively close to the inn, not necessarily next door but close enough.
