"Obnoxious"? Corella's message wasn't obnoxious! It was helpful, very helpful. And helpful messages (usually) aren't obnoxious. ;)
Veybold's "Services Available by Contract" message was still on the board when Corella went to scribbling on it, though. You can still see it in that pic under Post #14 back there. As far as I know, his message never disappeared. I assume that it's still there.
I suppose that you could advertise Veybold's services on those public notice boards in every town (except for Surthay and the keeps, apparently), but then I'd be worried about the message becoming buried under everyone else's messages and/or deleted by whichever empowered player is being a bit too zealous about keeping the notice boards clean.
(And you know something? A player playing a Monk with max Ride could make some good money running messages around Thay as a courier. "Here's my message. I want a copy of it on every notice board in Thay by tomorrow morning." "That'll be 500 Talons." "Done.")
