Alingment shifts?
#1
been wanting to bring this up for a while now x.x and since it looked like some things were being added in I was kind of hoping there could be something for this...

mostly was noticing there are ways to shift your alignment towards evil and choatic very easily, but little to nothing for good or obvious unless it hidden away in a very specific spot.... was hoping maybe there might be an option to donate to temples to get alignment shifts? or possibly other deeds or even quests that could be done for some at all? x.x;

It is hard to stay good in such a vile place. A battle every day for your humanity.

I see it as another part of the Thay experience ;)

Maybe giving gold to the beggar after you've finished his quests, but on a massively more stringent timer than the white rose xp. Or even a 1/1000000th of a % chance.

I agree that this is a problem, because the alignment shifts only seem to go the one way. I definitely have a problem with getting the chaotic hits for bashing doors (read the bug report I posted about that). I'm not sure the system should automatically judge that bashing a door in town is a chaotic act. For example - a legionnaire who bashes a locked door open in pursuit of a lawbreaker is doing something chaotic? I strongly disagree. IMO either remove that chaotic shift or give PCs some way to balance it out.

As far as selling slaves goes, I think the evil bump is perfectly correct. But if something were implemented to allow bumps toward good, then the evil bump for slaving would need to be increased- you shouldn't be able to sell a slave, then donate a portion of that gold to a temple to effectively make sure there is no alignment change.

Try paying for lodging at the Caravanserai as one type of 'uncommon' alignment shift right now.

No problem Hellstrom. Glad to help out.

Also, there will be other means for PCs to slowly shift alignment on their own in the next update.
