I think I remember seeing a post about direct connect at the forum. Did we want to make that more obvious somewhere so people visiting can easily find it/see it?

First, create a shortcut to nwmain.exe on your desktop.
- Go to C:/NeverwinterNights/NWN/ and right-click the icon for nwmain.exe and select Send to -> Desktop (Create Shortcut).
- Rename the new icon on your desktop to something memorable, such as Thay.

• Next, open the properties of the shortcut.
- Right-click the icon you created, and click on Properties.



• Add the pertinent switches to the target.
- Append +connect

Your target will now look like:
C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect 65.101.102.74:5121
• Click OK.
- Congratulations! You now have a Thay Desktop Icon.

Thanks for the updates everyone. Obviously there's a lot here that needs to be looked at and handled. Force, I appreciate your offer to create a thread for the Social site. I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to handle this as the job ahead to get our PW 'out there' appears relatively busy, at least to start with.

I'll post again once I have some type of plan figured out - but keep the ideas/suggestions/info rolling in, please.

I mean. I'm a roamer. I travel from server to server. And my history for servers is literally full. I have a lot of buddies on my buddies list, i added a lot of server favorites. PLUS i've written down many of the IP addresses for many servers. If this issue isn't resolved, i mean should we or should we not head to different servers and promote Thay?

You know how we like it if someone comes here and promote a server they think awesome? Not one bit! So we will in no way make this behavior a official call. This is about honoring the work of others. I asure you we have several PR intiatives in the works at the moment.
