Time in Thay
#1
There are a few ways one explain there time in Thay. In the personal player guide it has your brithday and year and how many game days.

Personally I have never been quite able to keep PW time straight. :P

There is another way "Season". As we know if you go to a slaver an wish protection they will say " You are protected til your next season(aka level)"

Explaining time or ones age by the moon's cycle or seasons is an ancient practice. So although maybe month and year durations in Thay different than in rl(?),

If someone wanted to they could say I have seen 10 winters(aka they are a level 10) which is 10 seasons which would be almost two years. In general most people would know this if a player rped such?

I have been asked by some new players and I have mentioned this is how I interpret it.

I am aware there is no set rule on how one can rp their time here. :)

10 winters would mean you are 10 years old. Usually seasons refer to levels.

Years, months, weeks/tendays all work.

The Harptos is divided into 12 months that each have 30 days. Its all in the link.

As for server time 15 minutes real time is equal to 1 hour game time.

*edited to change real time to game time.

I'm a little confused here. Time keeping is done pretty well, a player can figure out how long they have been here through the in game systems(rest menu, sundials, etc.) and some math.

If you pull up your character menu (in the rest menu), It gives you your birth date. So you can simply work it from there. :) Is how I do it :D
