I'm trying to rewrite my character description with the writing quill and it works... sorta.

If I type #W#<Description> and use the quill, it just appends <Description> to the end of my existing character description. What I really want to do is clear the entire existing description and create a new one. Is that possible? What command(s) do I use to do that?

I've tried #R# and using the quill, and that deletes any new text I've added, but it doesn't remove the original text I wrote when I created the character.

I've read the instructions on the quill 3 times over but I suppose I still might have missed something Anyone got any tips? Tricks? Hints? Workarounds?

Then just verify it with the examine button.

Thanks once again to Thayan for implementing this feature. I always disliked having to create a character description during creation that I'd be stuck with forever. It's really nice to be able to change it!

Piggybacking onto this thread for a vaguely related question:

Is there any possible way to see your own character descriptions? I can't even begin to remember what I wrote for them.

There is. Right-click on a quickslot to assign an action to it, then go through the radial menu and look for Examine. I can't recall which submenu it's under, but it's not too hard to find.

Once you've assigned it to that quickslot you can select it and click on yourself.
