Well, I guess I better weigh in with the official and correct stance on this, huh? Therefore, read all you Thayan haters and weep:
Quote:Guarding the Realms to the north is Rashemen, the Land of the Berserkers. This land is a frequent target of Thayan (not Thayvian, despite popular usage) invasions, which its warriorsand witches meet with indomitable spirit and might. The dwarf warrior Sigurd of Earthfast pro-vided me with details on this ancient and mysterious nation.

Oh wait...dammit....but then there is this for the Thayan haters:
Quote:These various Thayvian (or 'Thayan', either usage is correct) agents form a small but well-financed, ever-present spying presence throughout the Realms.

Hells. :@ What's a man to do, who strictly follows source material?

Anyway though - the only serious comment I'll make on this debate is that I fall into the thinking that 'Thayvian' can be used to refer to an item or thing of/from Thay, while 'Thayan' can be more often used to refer to a person or being of/from Thay. But I suppose my name betrays which one I am more inclined to use...

now the question arises, after the trickery of KTA just how many people did vote for Thayan?...because Thayvian could be in the lead...as is right and proper :)
The greatest joy for a man is to defeat his enemies, to drive them before him, to take all they possess, to see those they love in tears.

Just to kill this sucker, according to the "Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting" book, it's Thayan.

If I had realized how serious this topic was, I might have voted differently. ;) lol

(Which would have been for "Thayan" instead of the humorous option)
