Biggles Events info and feedback

For all of you who happen to take place in any of my mini events or little sidetracks into your PC's lives please give me any constructive...or not so constructive critizism... whatever the case may be as to how I can improve my new role.

First Mini Event: The hunt for the Stolen Black Pearl.

A call for mercenaries was given out by the Church of Umberlee in Bezantur several answered the call amoung them Sevik, Elliana, Lomi, Khalinda, and Rand.

A priest(PDM Ahriman) had been waylaid on the high road while carrying a valuable black pearl. The high priestess called for aide from those adventurers willing to help recover the Pearl before the ceremony that it was to be used for took place lest the Bitch Queen grow angry with the lack of a proper tribute and unleash her wroth agaisnt the port city.

The Adventurers found the unconcious priest next to a burning wagon as they searched the high road, he pointed them further north in search of the stolen pearl the bandits having escaped into their hideout in the abandoned mines there.

Destroying everything in their path on their quest to retrieve the pearl and save the city from the impending tidal wave that was sure to follow if the tribute was not returned the adventurers killed dozens of bandits and other cave dwelling monstrosities. Eventualy the scent of seawater reached the legionaire and she led them to the large doors within... somehow the Giants that dwell in the cave had come upon the rather large flawless Black Pearl using their brute strength to wrestle the "pruetty rock" from its original owner a dead priest of Umberlee still clutching the pearl in his hand.

Despite bickering the group managed to make their way in and out of the cave without too much blood lost on their side that is until they were waylaid by a group of priests wearing the same cloak of the Church of Umberlee...water elementals bolstering the ambush and spells flying downing the buetiful priestess that had pledged to help return the pearl.

Had the group been betrayed?, or had the High priestess not trusted them to do it on their own sending reinforcements that mistook them for the bandits? No! they were sent by the rival church in Alaor to waylay the victorious party hoping to cast the Bezantur Church out of the good graces of the Queen of the Deep in hopes of usurping the fickle goddess's favor.

All was not lost however and the party returned the valuable tribute just in time to avoid the coming storm and recieve their just reward informing the priestess of the betrayal who knows how the temple will react only time will tell....

Thanks again to all who participated in this my first mini event i enjoyed it and hope you all did aswell. and once again ask for any critiques that can be put towards bettering my role and the experience the players have in my events in the future :)

Do not use the word Biggles. :D

Seriously, it was a great event and fun for all. No real pointers at how it could have been better or improved. Unless you count that I should have been rewarded with a +10 Wundersword of DOOM.
Phydran Doon - Red Wizard of Divination
Djed Setesh - Deathdealer and Overlord of the Dark Suns' faith
Ihsahn - Red Wizard of Evocation
Ryech Voralt - Priador Legionnare

I had the pleasure in participating in one of Bigby's mini-adventures and had a blast! While Taygete was fishing on one of the piers of Bezantur, she had hooked a chest that was full of gold. Upon inspection of the chest it was discovered that it was an offering to Umberlee. My character had to make the decision of returning the offering or taking the gold and running. Fortunately, she made the first choice.

PROs: I liked the dice rolling, really gave it the pen and paper feel. The STR checks to pull the chest out of the water, Lore checks to identify and the detect traps/pick locks to open. This wasn't a hack and slash quickie, it was a cerebral quickie with a simple choice of what to do with the chest. The emoted dialogue as she considered what to do and what she discovered about the chest was cool.

CONs: No real cons Bigby. I think it would've been interesting to have that worshipper of Umberlee be more suspicious of Taygete when she returned the offering, but that's about it.

A great side trek adventure.

Damn little sneak, taking advantage of my catch while I was preoccupied like that! I think she earned her fish, so she can keep it.

Thanks, Big. Was fun. And now Kessa is positive she has chosen her school wisely. She'd make a horrible necromancer. ;)
