No-No-Notorious

With the distant but impending re-boot, I thought it'd be a good idea for something.

We all know that notoriety plays a roll behind the scenes in the server. But what about "notoriety" as in fame among other players?

Send me a PM with your list (and info) for the following two questions. I'll compile the list and post once the tallies have been made. Please make sure to distinguish who is on the ACTIVE and the ALL TIME lists in the post, from your perspective. Someone could be on both, if still active.

Who do you think are the top 5 to 10 most CURRENTLY ACTIVE notorious player characters in Thay, and what are they known for?

And who do you think are the top 5 to 10 ALL TIME notorious player characters in Thay, and what are they known for?

Example:
Joe Smith is notorious. He is a scruffy-looking nerf-herding bald dwarf with a scraggly beard and eye-patch, who is a follower of Mask and lurks in shadows, making all new arrivals paranoid of the need to pay protection money. Everyone may not know his real name, but they know him.

Vortar is notorious with a capital N. He is part dragon, part towering half-orc, who calls his might two-handed sword his "wife". He was a Captain in the Priador Legion, then became a Knight to the zulkir, then became champion of the arena. He also is known to love elf-pie.

You get the point. I may turn this into a poll (with permission of the appropriate people who run the forum and server) once enough names have been submitted. But for now, I'll run it through PM'ing.

Currently Active Notorious players:

Dread Lord Maurin (I think I coined that) He has been a great ally to some and worse enemy to others, he is also uniqely capable of being both at the same time. Well known and feared throughout his career his ambition is legendary and he has even drawn the Ire of the mighty Aznar Thrull and lived to tell of it on several occasions.

All time notorious players:

Vortar...but I'm biased.

Ryech Voralt, The protector of bezantur was credited with many victories, organizing the legion of Bezantur and overseeing it's defense during the attack by the forces of Szass tam's necrotic legions. He entertained many prominant and important guests at his manor estate with his wife Siucre and was equally well known for entertaining the masses with his "Pit fight" training exercises with the legion in the market of bezantur.
100 Rocks and squats later he had learned Hellslaps lesson well.

I'm bumping this to the top with a simple request:

Throughout the course of the Thay's lifetime, what PCs (and the name of the player who played them, if you can remember) have had the biggest impact on any of your PCs - as either friends or enemies?

Crap! What was the name of that paladin/monk of Lathander who ran around during the early days?! He totally had the biggest impact on Maric back in the day. I'm giving a blank check of points to whomever remembers! Curse my terrible memory!
"Survival of the fittest and the winnowing of the weak are Malar's Legacy. A brutal, bloody death or kill has great meaning. The crux of life is the challenge between the hunter and the prey, the determination of who lives or dies. View every important task as a hunt. Remain ever alert and alive."

Was that something like Kellen Brightshadow (spelling?) played by Arios?

That sounds right... His interest in discussing religion and morality with a Malarite entertained me to no end, even as I constantly debated (internally) whether or not to kill him. Those were good times.

Unfortunately, I'm beyond terrible with names, as I know there were several other characters/players back then who had an impact.

The same is true more recently, of course, but I didn't get back into the flow of everything until fairly recently, so guys like Aze and Kalis didn't have much of an opportunity to be strongly influenced. Kalis did really jump on board with Calhoun's ongoing "Kill Azura" campaign if that counts (for both of them). Nikos became the "guy Kalis prefers to stand next to during battles." Ihsahn has been "the bossy Red who seems to mean well but whose plans always seem to fail spectacularly."

Ihsahn (Purulent Carcass) Was one of my favorite enemies, when I played as Richal on the server. Constantly had to avoid him, to create my conflicts. Which was near impossible at times, bastard even killed some of my cabalists.

Vortar (Bryan[insert random sequence of numbers here]): For being this half enemy/friend thing to Richal, constantly urging him to make trouble. Plus he was the only one, I could shout at, without having to get into major conflicts.

Aerin Stormbringer (Don't remember name, possibly same?): For being one of Richals allies. The only guy, whom befriended Richal as an Ilmaterite. And then continueing to be his friend, as he was a Cyricist. And surving as Aerin himself put it "Richal, you have the mood swings of a pregnant woman"

Cyricist Cabal (Lots of players) I loved playing with theese guys, made playing a Cyricist a lot more enjoyable for me. A shame most of them disapeered, never to return. Was my first time, leading a sizeable group. While it did not go as well, as it could have. It was still a very enjoyable experience, that I learnt much from.

EDIT--------

Carcass's character, during the Ulfmenskr campaign. The constant power play, between the two characters, about who should lead the group. Which basicly stopped our mission, and divided our group in two.
I prefer walking towards the east..

In no particular order

Sirius Silverlight(Xarnata) - I never felt more evil than when I had Rhona paying Mauristan to try to catch him freeing slaves, all while acting like his best friend.

PsyDruid(forget the character name) - His proud pompous slave character was the only PC to ever make one of my PCs mad.

Priador legion/wolfpack(Ryech, Heather, Anastashia/Ishanti, and a couple players whose names I forget but I remember were there, like the human male who did the honors of infecting Vrok) - First real faction group I was part of.

Cyric cabal - Was definitely fun while it lasted.

DM Jechal - For playing Micah the Malarite goblin(?), one of the most memorable characters, and for always being ready to run an on the spot event.
Mirella Locke - Callisto

Olukon Thrune - Bookworm priest

Hargrid Beld - Paladin of Hoar

Lyta Csndrila - Fire Woman(On hold)
