Yaphyll concentrated again, sending a projection of herself to the last remaining Red Wizard she felt might help her. Tam, Nevron, Lallara, and Lauzoril could fight amongst themselves all they want, but she needed answers. And as Zulkir of Divination, she was going to provide them these answers and make them all look like fools in the process.
Her requests out, she relaxed momentarily, but not enough to lose her concentration on the spell that took a full month to prepare. Fortunately, she had begun her preparations before even the other zulkirs and Red Wizards of the opposing schools had decided to start killing themselves. Now all that remained was those she had tasked with finding 10 parts dragon blood, 10 rakshasa eyes, 10 parts fairy dust, a Gem of Seeing, and the helm of the deceased Thessaloni Canos.
Already her other diviners had informed her of that which she already knew; Canos had indeed died on some nameless island in the Sea of Fallen Stars. But fortunately, adventurers sent to retrieve the helm by one of the Red Wizards helping her had been successful. Small victories, she thought, but victories nonetheless.
She wished there had been someone she could have sent to stop the invasion of Thasselen and Murbant, but then those towns were of little consequence. Whether it was truly Tam directing these undead armies, or something else as she suspected, the leader of these undead obviously did not want any opposing forces remaining in the Priador.

Captain Sparrow stuck his head out of the Captain’s Pub in Murbant and wished he had not. Undead everywhere, and dead gnoll and human legionnaires littered the street. So the warning from Thasselen had been true...and arrived too late.
As with what he had heard in Bezantur, the undead did not attack unless attacked first, but they had definitely come in with every intention of wiping out the living Priador forces stationed there at the time. He stared into the open eyes of a young man wearing the cloak of the Priador legion who had died right out front of the pub.
He nearly fainted though when the man stood up jerkily, eyes still wide and unseeing. Saying not a word, the now-Dread Warrior halting walked over to a Death Knight standing at the top of the steps of the Council Hall. Sparrow closed his eyes for five seconds and then opened them again, hoping he was just seeing things again because of the splitting hangover he had.
When he opened them and saw he was not dreaming, his first thought was of the drop in adventurers now that would come to Murbant and how many damn seagulls were going to survive because of the undead infestation sweeping across Thay.
