So you think you know Thay? Think again!

I would like to bring attention to this line again.

And like a broken record, I would like to bring attention to this line again.

So where is Cedric? How many of you have sent a PM to a staff member asking that? How many of you have sent an in-game OOC Tell to other players (I have been on the receiving end of this under one of my anonymous accounts) asking that question? How many of you think you should do some exploring and adventuring on your own to try and find him? Remember exploring a brand new Thay? That thrill of when you were new to Thay of wandering around and finding something or someone unexpected? Do it again rather than metagame trying to find out things secondhand. This is a new Thayan world - enjoy this time, for it probably won’t happen again!

So for example, with just questgivers, keep the following in mind the following announced changes:

-Significant changes to the quest system:

2. The items sought by many special questgivers have changed in addition to the special item they award, which in most cases has resulted in new PC level requirements for existing questgivers
3. All special questgivers will only award special items that cannot be found via adventuring, many have had the reward they provide changed altogether, and several have changed locations

That means *when* you find the super-amazing Red Wizard Cedric (yes, he *is* around), do you think he’ll degrade himself to ask your lowly level 5 PC for help? Do you think he’ll still want the skeleton knuckle you’ve held from that worthless skeleton you killed at level 1? Do you think he’ll still give you a stone that shoots magic missiles? If you answered yes to all of these questions, you are incorrect... ;)
