Word slowly begins to spread in Thay, starting with the Alaor Isles, and then making its way north. A massive fleet of ships constructed in the Mulhorandi port of Sultim plied its way across the Alamber en route to a secret attack on the Thayan shipyards and holds on the Alaor. Caught up in massive sea storms, which some claim were the work of Thayan priests of Umberlee and Istishia working together with brave adventurers loyal to Thay, the fleet lost many ships, which sank into sahuagin territory and five near-simultaneous sinking ships actually wrecked the palace and hatchling pits at Korinagh.

However many skeptics and naysayers, especially in Bezantur, the Priador, and the clergy of Kossuth, claim that it cannot be certain the fleet was going to attack the Alaor. And also that there most certainly was no way the faiths of Umberlee and Istishia had the power to call upon a storm, pinpoint the Mulhorandi fleet, and then sink or shatter so much of the fleet. Some believed with blind devotion, others did not...

Regardless of the speculation above the waves, seeing the sinking ships from the Mulhorand fleet and the damage they caused as an attack on all of the Sahuagin nation of Aleaxtis (given the size of the fleet), the prince Korinagh mobilized his forces and sent out the deepsong that rallied the sahuagin of the four towns of eastern Alamber and the city of Vahaxtyl to war.

If true, it can be certain that in the year, or years, to come, all of Mulhorand's coasts will come under attack by sahuagin, and they will likely destroy many ships and dock areas of ports.
