To be completely honest, it actually can be hard to think of quest reward items to some people. Most equipment suggestions that Wings suggested, and that I suggested personally on my rather long server replies can be crafted at the forge.
Sometimes it's really hard to draw the line between acquirable and quest reward items.

Yes but the forge requires gold and XP which take time. Carmiriel has used the majprity of the special quest items she had done. Yet some quests do to rp and character she will not do so may miss out on some things. Even if you do not use the forge, buying some of the nicer things PC merchants have found are expensive. Some special quest items could be limitied to factions whether secular or religious and can only be used by follwers of the gods whether lay or clergy. They could only be sold back to the temple merchant at half the value.
