The meeting with Tharchion Dimon took place this night. A list of the other attendees:
In retrospect I should have known a power-play was afoot. The three representing Silvanus' slaughterers could not contain knowing smiles throughout the entirety of the meeting. The evidence was presented: seeds of hundreds of slain pilgrims, the testimony of an eyewitness; yet Master Kren insisted that his divinations were foolproof, and stated he saw no attacks of the Silvanites upon us. He went on to spout a suspect "vision" stating that our actions would harm the wealth of Tyraturos--more suspect in the relish he took in saying it. Then, the Master of Evocation himself arrived. Zulkir Thrul ordered that the conflict with the Silvanites was to end, and that Caramiriel was to be aided in establishing the Oak Father's faith in Tyraturos.
Darkbringer, grant me strength! They are allied with the beast who usurped Mari's position. The Church will need to acquire another, and far more powerful, patron to survive the opposition of Zulkir Thrul--that much is certain.
The sole benefit of the meeting is that Tharchion Dimon granted the Church full recognition as the third major faith of Tyraturos alongside Kossuth and Waukeen; with the coinciding rights granted such a faith--freedom from taxation, rights to titles, and so on.
I find myself unsettled, Aznar Thrul's arrival affected me more than I expected. Rotting God forgive me. I relish the thought that the blight already upon those woods will linger for years, reinforcing proper terror of the Darkrbinger, and best of all--undoing Thrul's desires bit by bit.
Of other observation is that Minion Szorin proved himself, having stood silent and firm the entire meeting while grievously cursed. His fortitude is to be commended. I shall have to keep an eye on this Minion, he may indeed be going places.
Kallien Black is the sensible one of the Silvanite representatives. An ecumenical dialog may be possible with him, though if he be not a pawn in others' machinations his lies and deception will render this hope null and void.
The fallen must be avenged, Great Dread God may this fulfill Your Most High Will. Doombringer I call upon you to aid me in bringing Holy Vengeance upon these dissemblers and liars, let not our fallen's cries go unheeded. Most of all, Assuran, I pray thee grant vengeance to Mari, for that wrongfully taken. So be it.
