Still shaken ,Cara opens her book and writes,
"First Silus and then Ingren now Kallien and possibly Garic.
Ever since Kallien returned from the trip to Rashemen, there seemed to be a restlessness about him. I have known Kallien almost as long as Garic. Kallien helped me find Silvanus' Grove. We had a connection from the start, a kinship being of Silvanus though he a ranger and I a druid. He was willing to help others and when he decided to be in the merchantile business he was fair and his shop popular. He stood by me when the summit was called in Tyraturos.
He seemed the most strained after the enervation as well as Daeris rise in the Temple. I always sensed there was a some form of relationship. The past month or so whenever we were in a group there would be tension and they would snap.
About a week ago myself, Daeris and Kal were in his home in the Spirited Valley and things seemed like they used to be. Then earlier this evening things came to a head. I tired my best to convince him to stay but it was not me who held the ace.
I wished him well and to return soon. We hugged briefly and then he left.
Garic to has not been seen in some time. Last we talked he seemed disheartened at the lack of progress he has made during his tenure in the legion. He started the same time yet has seen others advance quicker than he. Th elegions recently have been keeping the ranks trained buy augmenting regular assignments with fights in the various arenas. The last time I saw Garic was at such a fight as he asked me to come with him. Unfortunately he lost but put on a brave front and admitted he would have to try harder. I suggested he take a break from Azura's tasks but like a good solider he said no, he must face her with his defeat. He was pleased I put word in to the Tribunal on his behalf. We parted ways at the carvansari in Bezantur and I have not had contact with him since. I pray that he is well and did not meet his end in the arena.
I feel an keener emptiness now. Although Cyrus did come out from the paperwork and assist me with a difficult quest, I see him more as a father figure whereas Kal and Garic brothers."
Sighing deeply, Cara closes her book and heads for bed.
