The Current Edition of Dungeons & Dragons
#1
I finally got my copy of the "Current" (they aren't calling it 5th Edition) Official version of the D&D Player's Handbook finally, which went into effect as the standard version one month and seven days ago as of this post (and a month before I received my copy).

These are my opinions, after having read the new Player's Handbook in some detail ((disclaimer: I had been playtesting editions of DnD "Next" (as it was called in development stages, but no longer); as it was coming out, and I fully believe it's improved at each step towards full release))

Whereas Pathfinder, which is awesome, and altogether epic in and of its own right, is considered "3.75" by many DnD fans... we *finally* have a successor edition to 'proper' DnD worthy of its name/legacy...

I believe that it is what "4th edition" should have been, all along...

It innovates without destroying/sacrificing the DnD Legacy (from AD&D, to 2nd Edition, to the 3.5-ish that we enjoy here on Thay).

I would thus invite questions from those interested, as well as both concurring and dissenting opinions, as concerns this, the current edition of the game.
Currently Playing:

Galambos Thrune - Griffon Knight
Archibold Vanderdaghast - Palemaster
Anders Maerklos - Spellsword
Chessala Zolond - Yathrin d'Lolth
