Djed normally slays the person the preacher is preaching to. That normally delivers a (non)subtle message to the preacher that it might be time to preach elsewhere. Just one example of handling it icly.
Sending a tell asking a player to please not spam you with an NPC wall of text is NOT bad form if it's stated clearly and politely. It's not really safe to assume someone is being a jerk because they asked you not to do this and they sent a tell informing you so, so as not to call you out publicly. Like I had to here with this entire thread because some people wouldn't get the message otherwise.
Animayhem, just because you felt there was a lull in the conversation doesn't mean others were not having quiet conversations without you in them, via whispering. You are NOT the only one who has ever done this. The scene that occurred in the arena tent, is only a single example of a time when it did happen. This was not meant to single you out. Believe it or not, there are far worse culprits than you. What I am explaining is that its polite not to do this. It's certainly not against the rules.
I will also state one more time so it's TOTALLY clear. If you REALLY want to rp preaching so others can get a jist of your faith and your veracity. Then actually rp it. Save the spam for later. There are exeptions, always are. The beggar doesn't move. Talking to the beggar is also a bit spammy, but if your group decides to park there. It's your bad when a new PC walks up and jabbers away. So take it with a grain of salt.
Wids, please stop derailing the thread with pictures of delicious food. You made me hungry. :p
