That's why i was hopeful for a set ruling of "RP this item as size x" but it looks like were not going to get that.
The second reason i feel that a hak would be good is because of your comment of using it in the right hand. i don't see how that will work as an override because the right hand accesses many mechanics IG that the off hand dosant. what will player x see if player Y has the ability to hold something in a hand that player x's computer said cant be done?
This part is nice if you can give the option and all but mechanically i feel it may cause problems (if not go for it).
That is exactly what will happen when the models are edited; they will go in the hak, and then everyone will see the same thing. That was the whole point of my post by asking for assistance.

As far as right hand/left hand implementation, that also is a simple 2da edit which affects everyone who uses rods, so again, all are equal in this. In fact, the 2da edits are already done, and will be live when the hak gets updated. The benefits of this are two-fold; you can edit right hand weapons at the tailor, and you will be able to dual-wield rods.
