Errr... just for future reference, I'm pretty sure there's a "More Info" option with windows 8.1 when you try to double click on a .exe file in your downloads folder to install it...
If you click that, the fey operating system will then, reluctantly, present one with the option to "Run Anyway"... an option I'm very fond of at work (largely because it's not my computer... so why not?).
Not that it matters so much, since windows 10 will supposedly be arriving soon, and therefore probably before there's another hak to install... and, if it works halfway well it'll immediately be followed up on with a windows 11... but, if nothing else - "Run Anyway" can sometimes be a preferable option to the default of "Run Away"...
