Thankyou for the advice lifelikesage-LooseWilly and others. I had not tried using the F keys before and will check this out. I will admit that I am not too great with the combat-strategy end of NwNs. I am going to try to change tactics tho as I play less than optimal character builds in general and survivability is important...lest one likes to RP in the Fugue. Which I'd rather not.

I usually do/am not opposed to using the inventory screen to switch etc. but as LooseWilly stated it can be a gamble as it likes to freeze up on me. Using hotkeys seems the way to go tho so I appreciate it. It's about time I learn to play this game a lil better

I still have a feeling there is an underlying issue with the sword item tho as the sword is the most common item to 'get stuck' in main slot and won't swap or unequip, when I use a morning star...just not seeing the problem!
