I'm excited by all the hints you're dropping and possibilities you're mentioning. I'm super excited to see what changes you come up with that will interest me in playing some classes I've avoided. But while I don't want to throw a wrench into the works I have to ask if while you're thinking about the changes you're also considering the way changes like this will be introduced into the server?

I assume these changes will affect and modify existing characters who have one or more levels of the modified classes. The changes may also affect a PC who was on the path toward a PrC that's been modified. What's the path forward for those characters? If the changes to the classes are very deep, it could well cripple some PC builds or alter them beyond recognizability. It would be possible to offer rebuilds to those players whose characters are affected, but that seems like it could be a tremendous amount of work on the DMs or require quite a bit of additional coding on your part, neither of which sound very attractive.

On the flip side, if the policy is "There've been changes, deal with it", I can only imagine the amount of wailing, gnashing of teeth, and tearing of garments the staff would have to put up with :)

So, do you have a cunning plan?
