Waitaminute. I never mentioned anything about special questgivers; all I mentioned was a Kossuthan priest who died (somehow) and was replaced by another priest. And who mentioned Culin Thark in here? :/
(As for the frequency of undead PCs: Having recently played a vampire for long enough to grow jaded with them, trust me, guys: Undeath is overrated. Factor in a vampire's ECL and Vespera was more powerful than Corella was at the time, yet Vespera routinely had to flee in terror from things that Corella would turn into pincushions without breaking a sweat. To Vespera, Half-Dragon Clerics were Death Incarnate; to Corella, they were "Oooh, I'm about to get another free Priest Robe for my next trophy/disguise!" I say skip the undeath quest, or if you must throw away a perfectly good magical trinket, just stay living, snatch the bones and enjoy your limited "uncritability". )
(*Of course, if you have a character concept which hinges on undeath somehow, I suppose that's cool.)
