ok, don't think I have many keys out there since I traded in deeds for the Trading Post so, I shouldn't have a problem with that, but if there any loose ones, throwing the key away and havingthe owner make new ones would work still?

Once the owner had keys in his/her possession updated, they can always use the Key Duplicator to make new ones for friends who might not have turned in their keys to the owner before the owner entered their building after the migration.

Owners can also use a skeleton key on their exterior entrance to refit that as a building key, too. However that is more expensive the using the Key Duplicator and is mainly meant for when a building owner may have lost all keys to their building and needs to refit a new one for themselves.
