When I was playing a Bard legionnaire (So-Seth Atepsis) I ended up writing the start of these two songs. I never finished them. Here they are.
I WISH I WAS IN ELTABBAR
Oh I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah! -- I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah!
I've been to Phent and Lyrabar, and sandy, dusty Thazalhar!
But I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah!
I've been to empty Lapendrar hurrah, hurrah! -- The empty keeps in Lapendrar hurrah, hurrah!
I've been to empty Lapendrar and missed my darling Eltabbar!
Oh I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah!
I've been down south in Priador hurrah, hurrah! -- Way down south in Priador hurrah, hurrah!
I've been down south in Priador and found Bezantur quite a bore!
Oh I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah!
I've been up north in Surthay Tharch hurrah, hurrah! -- Smelly, humid Surthay Tharch hurrah, hurrah!
I've been up north in Surthay Tharch and the illness found its mark!
Oh I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah!
I've been to grassy Pyarados hurrah, hurrah! -- I've been to grassy Pyarados hurrah, hurrah!
What can you say of Pyarados? Went it away 'twould be no loss!
Oh I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah!
I've been to dusty Thazalhar hurrah, hurrah! -- I've been to sandy Thazalhar hurrah, hurrah!
Just three things known of Thazalhar -- it's dusty it's sandy it's very far!
Oh I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah!
I've been to chilly Gauros Tharch hurrah, hurrah! -- I've been to freezing Gauros Tharch hurrah, hurrah!
I've been to that place cold and stark and heard of naught but wolf-dogs bark!
Oh I wish I was in Eltabbar hurrah, hurrah!
ACROSS ALAOR
My darling over the ocean Alaor...
My darling why have you left my heart so sore...
Give me blessed mountain kisses, give plains that never end...
But across the sea, ‘cross Alaor, my love I can not send…
My darling over the ocean gone so long…
My darling have you forgotten our old song…
Give me thoughts of peaceful days, long sacred summer nights…
But the sea, but Alaor, it swallows all the lights…
