“It is time.”
Despite being an elder vampire, and only subservient to one of the oldest and perhaps most powerful Red Wizards in Thay, even he had a limit to his patience. Having waited centuries to finally hear those three words uttered out of nowhere was akin to a slap in the face - physically jolting him out of his meditations and leaving him speechless at the same time.
Using his years of discipline, he kept the excitement and surprise out of his voice and coolly replied, “Yes, my master,” after the moment it took him to regain his composure. He rose swiftly and turned to face his master. An uncomfortable silence of a few minutes passed without further instruction. Shrugging silently to himself he turned to leave the musty crypt.
“Victor,” called his master “The other circles have been given the command as well. Things are in motion now that cannot be undone. You must not fail. Remember the plan and what is needed. And remember patience. It will take time for my plans to reach fruition...and for you to obtain your freedom.”
Victor nodded and inwardly sighed. How many times was he going to go over this, he wondered? “Master, I completely understand. I will not fail you.”
A period of silence passed again before Victor realized his master had suddenly disappeared into the blackness of the tomb.
His eyes narrowed as turned again to leave and meet with his agents. His message would be simple and to the point - advising them on the changes to the new types of individuals to ‘save’ and dump on the streets of Bezantur. Those who had already been saved, indebted to his master whether they wanted to be or not, and relying on his protection and assistance in Thay would serve their purposes in the days, months, and years to come now. That was, of course, if they hadn’t already displeased him and his allies or shown themselves to be too reckless and then discarded.
He shuddered with a cold joy he hadn’t felt in centuries at the change in the wind he could already feel gathering. Not since the ‘birth’ of his ‘child’, Selene, to her undeath so many decades ago had he experienced such a tantalizing sensation.
Yes, indeed.
It was time for those who owed them allegiance to begin paying their dues.

This is the beginning of several epic-spanning campaigns that The Thayan will begin running. The mysterious allies from the opening sequence to the Thay PW will finally be calling on a few individuals. Defy them at your own peril!
For this first campaign, I am looking for a few people interested in playing new or existing PCs who may most likely meet their demise as part of the ongoing story of the Thay PW. These characters will be the stars of the campaign, but you will be able to play them as much or as little as you like outside of the campaign events too. Their impact will affect the main story of the Thay PW and future campaigns after this one, however they may not end up surviving (even to the end of) this campaign...
I will do my best though to incorporate all other players with new or existing PCs to join the campaign events when they are scheduled. The main PCs will likely always need sacrificial lambs...er...I mean...help. :)
I am estimating this first campaign will run for 3-6 real-time months, but we likely won’t have a major campaign event every week during that time frame, nor need all our main PCs there every week either. Campaign events will typically run during the week anywhere from 2-4 hours once they are scheduled, with the occasional few weekend events that will run anywhere from 2-6 hours.
If you are interested in playing a PC involved as a major part of this campaign, send me a PM before Saturday, November 27 with what days of the week work best for you (in general) to join this campaign. I request that any who are interested will do their best to try and join the major campaign events at least every other time they are scheduled.
