Sergeant,
As a Red Wizard was was involved, there can be no disputing the outcome or questioning whether or not it was correct. From the legion's point of view, not that it matters at this point, I do agree with your actions and commend your prowess in combat. While killing the now-namelss sergeant would certainly have been an option, Thay always needs slaves as well and it is preferable to increase the number we have whenever possible.
My only question is: what happened to the slave of this man who no longer exists? If she lives, she is to be hunted down and killed. Attempting to kill a sergeant of our legion -multiple times- must not go unpunished. If possible her death should be slow, painful, and public to set an example to other slaves that might have similiar ideas. If not possible, a simple death will suffice.
In the service of Thay,
-Master Sergeant Samuel Martin
