Sometimes it is better to find an excuse not to fight a player even if that is how your character would respond, make up an excuse not to engage the character but let them off with a warning, if it continues despite all of your efforts to avoid conflict then they had it coming.

The problem lies in that not alot of people take threat's serious, unless you kick their ass atleast once, I allways hand out warning and most people back down, but some don't and they are beaten.

And rather than sending a tell most people understand that it may trigger a PVP-fight when it suddenly says "**Subdual Damage**" Above the head of the one they are pissing on.
