Well people aren't saying that everyone HAS to respect the evil bastards, the problem is that some people do not wish to face the consequences OOC and therefore complains/whines to the evil bastard.

And if you are new in a city and have no idea how things work, the worst thing you can do is walk up to the nearest Plated/Robed guy or people with a retinue (Knights,Minions..ETC) and insult him or make fun of him.
