I may have found a way to by pass the connect lag issue.

I did this step and I got connected faster.

First, create a shortcut to nwmain.exe on your desktop.
- Go to C:/NeverwinterNights/NWN/ and right-click the icon for nwmain.exe and select Send to -> Desktop (Create Shortcut).
- Rename the new icon on your desktop to Thay.

Next, open the properties of the shortcut.
- Right-click the icon you created, and click on Properties.
In the target field you will see this:

C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe

at the end of this put: +connect

then put 65.101.102.74:5121

when completed target field should look like this:

C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect 65.101.102.74:5121

You go directly to your gsid name and password screen then viola to Thay :P
