Sorry KTA, but when I read some people may get invited, I take it literally.

I believe showing up to invite only events, uninvited, is metagaming.

I see your point but then again if someone wants to have a private party such a post on the forums was not nessesary plus Thayan clearly announced that he would be using the event to start a new dm-led series. In the light of all this it is to be expected that 'not personally invited guests' show up. So IMHO this is not metagaming in its original sense but a OOC invitation to all players. Surely Kaiser would have found a way or reason to show up the the spot? My own character heard from the event ICly and decided to take part and make a gife to person raising in power of a important faction for the sole reason to get in contact with Tristella.
