The marks are cumulative... they do not have to be given simultaneously, Gith.

I disagree with the temporary mark or more assassination attempts on the marking PC. I may be totally off the mark, but I see marking a person more along the lines of reporting them to higher authorities since you have to give valid reasons for marking the PC in the first place. If someone makes a report about a PC (marks them) how, exactly, is the marked PC going to know who reported them? It just seems to be counterproductive in my mind since the marking system is in place to "help enforce a bit of restraint on new(er) PCs (or players) that expect they can ignore the established order/Red Wizards/PCs" to punish the PC placing the mark on another.
