I imagine it would only really become boring if a person tried to play that PC basically the same way, making all the same decisions and such. It could be a lot of fun to start with the "same" character and take him/her down a different series of paths and see how it turns out.

I'll be making another red dragon disciple... and then try to get him infected with wolf lycanthropy asap, simply because I think the dragon attributes would also help out with accentuating the lycanthropic form. I sort of have him in mind as a servant of Malar, and perhaps even try to build a werewolf society amongst the players complete with its own rituals, hierarchy and infighting. When he's not in werewolf form, he'll be becoming draconic, completely veering away from his humanity and delving into the world of transformations into a powerful beast...
... although so far my attempts at testing out werewolf lycanthropy before the reset don't seem to be going so well. Hopefully I can acquire it through an event after the reset.

True but the time warp kinda changed the character already :P Hopefully in the new world I can play it differently. If I was retired maybe but as a working person :P

I'm planning a lycan hunter who eventually gets infected (There's a possibility he won't and everything will turn out sunshine and rainbows) And it leads to his insanity. I'm not sure if he's going to join a temple.. Who knows.

I find myself seeking reassurance.
Permadeath in the opening comment was a joke, no? It's pretty much permadeath now unless you're willing to return as an undead. This is why I'm playing only new, "disposable" characters which I'm indifferent towards until the reset.
If it was just a joke, Maurice will return from where he's kicking up his heels and shaking his head at the chaos. Secondary characters will (okay, would) be new.

It was a joke.
I actually didn't mind the old system (of eventual permadeath should someone respawn often enough), but it's not something I've even seen suggested as a possibility of returning.

So, would anyone be needing a henchman/helper/relative or the likes?
As I honestly, have a hard time finding myself a concept.
Willing to play all alignment and a worshipper of nearly all deities.
I prefer walking towards the east..

Hm, Thayan Knights are like the ultimate sidekick character, could always plan for that then pledge to whichever wizard makes the most sense when the time comes.
Mirella Locke - Callisto
Olukon Thrune - Bookworm priest
Hargrid Beld - Paladin of Hoar
Lyta Csndrila - Fire Woman(On hold)
