Jay's past

*all ready to go, he opens up his journal, dips his quill, and writes...*
It is my time. I have decided to let the wind take me to the path I need to go. My brothers will meet me outside of the border. I am.. almost relieved.. and almost sad to go.. *he sighs and continues to write..*
I will return to Thay after a while, for my true destiny still lies here with the FireLord. My friends here in Thay will know... I will not be gone long.
The Ten Brothers will have their names known all over the world.
*he clenches the quill in his fist..*
It is time.. Kossuth praise us all... And all of Thay..
For now, this is goodbye.
*he puts his quill and journal in the front of his pack pocket, he slowly puts out the lantern flame. he walks out of the Red Trident room, closes it behind him, and let's the lock slide inside*

*calmed from earlier, being insulted publicly at the mercenary's gathering, Jay has relocated to a room in Amruthar. He removes his journal from his pack, and dips the provided quill into his ink and writes...*
Some lovely fights at the gathering today.. I was accompanied by men of my own faith. Ramas Fahzik ((Gwydion)) and Dasan Kirdis ((DarkRanger)), both clerics of Kossuth. I lost my weight in some of the fights, and was evenly matched with a Eltabbar Legionnare that goes by Geoneros Kurm.((SupremeForce)). He would be an extremely formidable and well sparring partner.
We had a well team battle, four versus four of Fetch and Defend.
I was with Dasan, as well as Geoneros, but led by the victor of all of the arena fights, a common speaking gnoll named Gorkal.((KTA)). I haven't met a common speaking gnoll except for my own brother Hypen.
Yeah we don't get along... I was also almost seemingly called out by a faithful of Waukeen called Cala ((karilynn)). She was rather... infuriating.. but I give her extreme props on her battle strategies.
*he redips his quill into the ink and continues to write..*
I'm planning to attend the next arena fights for the Amruthar Sergeant and the tharchion Tenslayer.
Kossuth was well represented that day, and I'll make damn sure that our Lord will always be represented at these events..
*he clenches his fist around his quill extremely tight, shuddering in anger for a few seconds and then releases his quill, a little excess ink making a drag across the page he just used. He removes the quill and wipes it off with a drapery cloth, and then closes his journal.*

*Jay stumbles into his room in the Red Trident, unclear of what it is. He was guided here by Lady Voralt, and is rather confused of his surroundings. He takes the journal of his off the desk and reads it, raising a few eyebrows at what the contents are inside. Jay flops it back down onto that desk, putting his hand on his forehead and stumbling back. The coma and amnesia aftermath was clearly getting to him. Jay hits the vase over, falling onto his right side with an "OOF". He regains his footing, only to pass out onto the bed next to him.*

*Jay, after a very very long set of days, opens his door of the red trident room he always had. He closes it behind him, turning the lock, as he removes the pack off his back and removes his journal. He sits in the chair in front of the desk, opens his journal, dips his quill in the ink, and writes on the next page...*
Returned to Thay... Many new faces and many old faces erased from the living. It seems like I have to make new allies..
*sighs and redips his quill in the ink*
I've made acquaintances with few.. Including a monk of the moon mistress, Bo ((Possibilitias)) and a mercrnary named Mirella ((DarkRanger)). We formed a well trio in the sewers against our opponents. Afterwards we traveled roads, enslaved some fugitives for small profit.. We had some close encounters with sahuagin, but it was taken care of...
I saw a Red Wizard Apprentice in Tyraturos.. Mulhorandi it seemed, not really sure. ((Carcass)). He seemed extremely firm, like he could be a legionnare captain.. He seemed leaderly, and also very stern and firm about his word, but he was extremely patient almost.. I never actually talked to him but he seemed busy enough as it was.. If we're having these kind of people as red wizards, Thay's in seemingly good hands.
*he redips the quill again*
Something in the Tyraturos tombs was wrong though..
Me and Bo ventured inside to try and maybe find some interrsting things.. We encountered vampites.. One of which shouted "Children of the night, hear my plea. Emerge!" We killed him. Only to cross the next corridor and be swarmed by tens of skeletons and rats. The dead are gathering.. Something is terribly wrong with the undead. I should investigate...
*he closes his journal and places his quill down, closing the ink bottle and leaves it all on the desk. He stands, and starts redressing to night clothes to take a good night's rest.*

*Jay, inside of the Burning House of Tyraturos chambers, removed his journal from his pack, took out his ink and quill. He dips the quill into the ink, opened his journal, and wrote...*
It's about damn time that the festivities to Kossuth started.. The clergy here are all excited, as am I.
*he smiles as Brazier Toph pats him on the back and nods to him*
The initiates here have devoted themselves to keeping the festival under control, considering it will draw people from many different people in Thay to Tyraturos.
In recent situations, I have made some recent allies.. New ones. I have not seen any of the old faces that I once knew.. Maurice ((Gwydion)), Dralas ((DarkRanger)), Priest Dasan ((DarkRanger)), or even Mason ((Razor)). I have recently become acquainted with many people, including a Black Unicorn Rider, Mirella ((DarkRanger)). Also, i've met a strange one, Okamai Little Tiger ((Holy Ronin)). She's quite interesting, along with meeting Red Wizard Apprentice Ravan ((Carcass)).
My protection as a thousand days from the Talassians of Talos ends upon the next week or so.. I fear i will have more troubles from them as time comes.
*he sighs and closes his journal, leaving his things in the chambers and walks outside to help arrange tents*

*in the chambers of the Burning House of Kossuth, Jay had sat down at one of the rather hot desks. He removed his pack from his back, and opened it, removing his journal. He took the quill and ink that was already present, dipped the quill in the ink, then flipped the journal to the next available page and wrote..*
I have made many grave mistakes in the past couple of months... Lost allies, gained enemies.. I have few allies. I at least am glad that I have comfort and a since of family with the clergy and other fire drakes and the temple.
It has been a long week or more longer.. that Apprentice Ravan((Carcass)) was called to trials that I heard.. Unless i have just been very local and not been venturing out more often than I should, I fear the worst for him.
I have made a fool of myself in public.. I have done unintentional things, like bring people to their ends..
I need to make amends.. and make myself more public.
Kossuth praise me.
*he hears the gong in his temple sound, he closes his journal immediately, drops the quill on the ground, and heads into the main chamber*
((OOC: This all was VERY unintentional, I have turned myself into the server's antagonist. Hehehe... I am very sorry for all the PC's I have doomed IC... Jay is bipolar IC.. like medevil bipolar.. ALSO, I will be listing the nine brothers OOC now so you can get a feel of their qualities for an upcoming scene on this thread from jay's past. From oldest to youngest, their race and their names. Lizardfolk warrior, Salk. Drow warrior, Vego. Half-orc, Brol. Werewolf, Pias. Gnoll, Hypen. Human, Cal. Peregrin, Halfling. Duergar, Bahal. Drider, Aslah. Tiefling, Jay.))

*after a long day and adventure to Thazar keep, jay enters the chambers of the Burning House of Kossuth. He sits down at the desk, his journal still being there, he opens to the next available page with a already dipped ink-quill and writes..*
Interestingly enough, our venture was in vain. We were sent to the advancement camp, but the troop was very light north of Pyarados. We were encountered by tribes of mountain giants, orcs, gnolls, ogres, and even a white dragon in Shar's pass... We tried to find the troop that was suppose to be reinforcements from Thazar Keep, but when we got to the pass.. the entire Keep was gone. The Thazar pass was empty, it was as if the land was never built upon. We were cursed by the full moon that night, Lycanthropes attacking at full force.. We decided to return to Pyarados and report to the Tharchion.. I mean an entire keep vanish into thin air? I've been to it several times before. I am to keep to this matter with the village and such until it is resolved, as the burning house sends me..
*he then sighs, and sits back in his chair. He drops his quill on his journal, and then doses off to a nap with the sounds of Ishtishites being tortured in the background..*

((Jay's Dream from the previous thread reply.. It was a flashback of when he was with his nine other brothers, in a mercenary keep assault to a local lord.))
*Forests surround the keep. On the general region, around a couple hundred feet away, they hid in the trees, watching the Keep. It was a basic design, four walls and four watchtowers in a square shape. Archers patrolled the walls and watchtowers, the entire Keep being about 100 strong. It was noon at time.*
"Vego, what do your eyes see?", Cal calls up from below as Vego scans the keep from the trees. Vego, keeping his eyes on the keep, talks down below with less volume. "Five guards on each wall, three archers in each tower." He said. Cal nodded from below. Vego climbed down the tree, being careful not to make too much noise. The other brothers sat below, sharpening their weapons. Jay and Bahal were sharpening their weapons, while the others were making sure their armor was fastened tight. "Thisss isss a retrieval missssion, we are to retrieve the gold that the lord here sssstole." Salk hissed at his other brothers, reminding him of the situation. They all nodded in sequence, with them all standing. "We head in through the back stair then?" Aslah asked, Peregrin sitting on his back with his daggers at the ready, Aslah's half-spider body supporting him. "Aye," Cal replied.
Bahal and Jay smiled at each other, they were ready for battle. They all, simultaneously, started to head out. They all stayed low, emerging from the cover the forest gave them and dashed to the side entrance of the keep before they were seen by the high wall guards. "Aslah, Peregrin.. You two climb the wall and attack from above, take out as many guards as you can." Cal said, making sure they both nodded in sequence as they were given their assignments. "Jay, Hypen, and Pias, you three are to head into the center courtyard for the main engagement." Pias' werewolf head bobbed in sequence, a smile clearly seen on his drooling mouth as Hypen and Jay also nod, Hypen's jagged teeth giving a smile as well. "Brol and Vego are to head inside the inner chambers and retrieve the stolen gold, while me and Salk will provide ranged support from above." Cal whispers to all of them. They all nod, but the silence is broken by an arrow whistling past Cal's ear. He turns slowly, almost dead frozen as he sees a watchtower archer notching another arrow, shouting to the entire keep that intruders approach.
Brol sighs, his broad shoulders settling and his half-orc face settles. "Well, so much for that plan.." He grunts out as he runs first, ahead of everyone, up the staircase into the northeast watchtower. Cal couldn't help but chortle out a laugh, as they all head up the staircase one by one, with the sounds of shouting from the keep soldiers entering the air around them.
((To be continued. ;)))

*Jay sits in his normal writing desk in the Burning House, opening up his journal and quill that was already there and starts writing..*
Assassins and assassins, slavers and slavers, does it ever cease?
I've heard of this Tuigan Horde that's been attacking.. Thazar Keep.. it all led up to this..
Personally, it disappoints me that the news has spread this far to Yaphyll having to intervene herself.
It takes this much to bring Thay to an almost kneeling point.
*he tsks in his chair, then he closes his book and puts his hand to his chin, thinking about what has transpired. The ever-lasting tiny sound of movement stirs behind him, he turns around, seeing two dark-clad men in the chambers. He removes his dagger as quick as he can, and flies into the scene..*

*Jay, clearly tired and frustrated, clanks into the burning house of kossuth. His journal was already open and out, no reason for that being, he shook it off his head as to why and sat down the desk. He then continued to write..*
The young are so clueless.. Forty one years of age now. Not something I particularly looked forward too..
*he smirks, dipping his quill in ink and scraping the excess off on the side of the top*
The priador has potential and shows out.. Caramiriel and Azura need to tame their horses sometimes, so to speak. I fear they will never learn. Especially when Daxos does his best to turn the priador from the filth it is to a prestigous legion.
*he then sighs*
Elira((WingsofStardust))murdered me in Tyraturos.. She murdered me in cold blood, i didnt try to fight at all. It wasn't in her tharch, and in all technicality, even if Kossuth decided to save me, its against the law.
Omnipotence Hazlok((Bishop Edward))ddcided to settle it in a riddle competition, which I showed my years of age and knowledge out.
He concluded me superior of the mind and her superior of the sword.
Really, even if I am alive and was dead, she was not in her tharch of authority, it's against the law.
*he shakes his head..*
Dragon disciples. Trying to live to Vortar's name..
*a immediate smirk hits his face*
I've seen many young ones come and go.
Delia ((MoreThanThree)), Aegril ((Philosopher))..
Its a shame. *he then closes his journal, the flames glow in an aura around him. He smiles, feeling comfort in the heat.. He laughs, feeling free. But then he stops, and thinks, What am I going to do..*

*The Burning House of Kossuth fills with confusion. Screams are heard outside as the Fire Drakes snap to life. Jay, along with five or six other drakes, run up the stairs and through the inner chambers of the Burning House. He puts the hand on the hilt of his sword as he gallops up the stairs, the fire drakes behind him had sword and shield drawn. They reach the top of the building, the flaming stone statues greeting them, as a congregation of other clergy, priests and drakes, stand together, looking over the edge of the building rails. Jay examines the congregation, his hand relaxing from his sword. The other drakes then sheathed their swords, standing in place. They didn't know what was happening. They moved forward, joining the group as they stand, overviewing a now seen chaos.. Fire elementals swarm around, at least one dozen of them. They are seen attacking legionnares and civilians. Legionnares engage the foes in combat, and civilians run for their lives. Slaves are seen, putting themselves in the way of the elementals and their masters. Jay's eyes widen at the sight, as do the rest of his groups. The congregation stands, some in surprise, some emotionless. Jay draws his sword, the heat from his sword making the air blur. He then makes for the stairwell..*
"Jay!" *he stops and turns around, as only three of the drakes were walking after him. they all turn, stopped in place. Lady Chanthi made her face visible, turning to face them.*
"Do NOT interfere.." *she states, her face showed no emotion. Jay looked absolutely in shock, as did the rest of the group.*
"You must be insane." *Jay simply states, he had a smile on his face, a fake one. They all could tell.*
"Do you want our reputation to be awful?! What is the meaning of this?!" *His smile had faded, and he looked furious.*
"This was not intentional.." *She gives a very normal stare to the priests. They just shrug, waiting for them to be put to a consequence of some sort.*
"But it is Kossuth's doing, so no one will interfere." *She adds onto her previously cut statement. Jay's shoulders slump but he then turns to the stairs and takes two steps down, still in view of the congregation. No one followed him now.*
"That's an ORDER Jay." *She calls out behind him, he then freezes again. He then sighs.*
"Again, this was not our doing." *She states, in a calmer manner. She was still tensed up through her neck and shoulders. Jay shakes his head, he still showed signs of frustration.*
"I will not have our temple blamed for this. But I fear it is too late.." *He states, and then he dashes back down the stairs. He had his sword and shield drawn. The rest of the congregation waited until they saw Jay out on the streets, slaying the elementals and picking up fallen people. The congregation started walking down the stairs to their posts, the top of the building flooded into the tiny staircase. They walked single file. They returned to their posts, the mixed expressions on every face of the house's inhabitants masquerade... Everything was silent, for a long time..*
